These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of theumrao.com (the "website"), operated by The Umrao Hotel & Resort ("The Umrao", "we", "us"). By using the website you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the website.
The hotel's terms of stay
Your stay, dining, spa and events at the hotel are also governed by The Umrao's hotel terms and conditions, including cancellation and refund rules, which you can read here (PDF). If anything on this page conflicts with those terms or with the conditions of your booking, the booking conditions and hotel terms apply.
Room bookings
- Rooms are booked through our secure online booking engine, provided by a specialist booking partner. Rates, availability, inclusions, taxes, payment, cancellation and no-show rules are shown there before you confirm, and form part of your booking.
- A booking is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation from the booking engine or from our reservations team.
- Check-in, check-out, identification and other house rules are explained at booking and at the hotel. Government-issued photo identification is required for every guest at check-in, as required by law.
Book direct and offers
- "Up to 25% off" means the discount on our website can reach 25% compared with our standard rates; the actual saving depends on the date, room type and rate plan and is shown in the booking engine.
- "Best price guaranteed": if you find a lower publicly available rate for the same room, dates, guests and conditions elsewhere, contact our reservations team with the details before you check in, and we will review it and, if it qualifies, match it.
- Offers on the Offers page are subject to their own terms, validity dates and availability, cannot be combined unless stated, and may be changed or withdrawn without notice.
Tables, treatments, events and enquiries
Sending a table reservation, spa appointment, event, membership or general enquiry through the website is a request, not a confirmation. Our team will confirm availability and any terms (such as deposits, minimum guarantees or cancellation rules) directly with you. Event bookings are confirmed only by a signed agreement or written confirmation from our events team.
Umrao Elite membership
Umrao Elite benefits, prices and validity are set out in the membership terms given when you join, and are subject to availability. Benefits on the membership page are a summary and may change.
Your guest account
- You can sign in with a one-time code sent to your mobile, or with Google. Keep access to your phone and email secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Your account shows enquiries and reservations we can match to your mobile number or email. If something is missing or wrong, please contact us.
- We may suspend an account that is misused. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
The concierge
The website concierge gives general information based on the website's content and may sometimes be incomplete or out of date. It cannot make or confirm bookings, quote final prices or make promises on our behalf. Please confirm important details with our team.
Using the website
You agree not to:
- use the website for anything unlawful, or to send false, offensive or misleading information;
- attempt to break, overload, scan or gain unauthorised access to the website, our systems or other people's data;
- copy or scrape content, prices or data in bulk, or use automated tools to send enquiries.
Content and intellectual property
The text, photographs, videos, logos, the name "The Umrao", designs and other content on the website belong to The Umrao or our licensors. You may view and share pages for personal use, but you may not copy, adapt or use them commercially without our written permission.
Accuracy
We try to keep information on the website accurate and up to date. Photographs are illustrative; rooms, menus, venues, timings, amenities and prices may change. Capacities and dimensions of our venues are approximate. Nothing on the website is an offer that can be accepted without confirmation from us.
Links to other websites
The website links to other services, such as our booking engine, WhatsApp, Google Maps and social media. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and their own terms apply.
Our liability
To the extent the law allows, the website is provided "as is", and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for losses caused by the website being unavailable, by errors in its content, or by third-party services.
